Kenya's Prime Minister Raila Odinga has termed the Monday explosion that went off in Nairobi's business district as an act of terror aimed at scaring Kenyans.
The PM who was accompanied by a section of top government officials said the government will use all available resources to fight terrorists within its borders.
He further called on Kenyans to be watchful on matters of security as terrorists had resorted to aiming at civilians as soft targets.
"Our country is under threat because terrorists want to scare away investors but Kenyans will not be scared'', he said.
The explosion left 33 people injured, five of them critically.
He said that terrorists have failed elsewhere and will also fail in their attempts to spread fear in the country.
‘'We strongly condemn the terrorist attack and tell perpetrators that their days are numbered as Kenyans will succeed'', he said.
At the same, Raila said this is not a moment for Kenyans to apportion blame, but a time they should work together to fight the vice.
The PM promised that all available resources shall be used to equip the country's defense forces and directed the police forces to spare no effort in beefing up security in the country.
Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi similarly condemned the attack and asked Police to ensure those behind the attack are brought to book.
