President Museveni welcoming Nick Westcot

President Yoweri Museveni has held talks with the visiting European Envoy, Nick Westcott, who called on him at State House, Nakasero.The President and his guest discussed a range of bilateral issues including political, economic growth and sustainable development in the region.
Westcott is the Managing Director for Africa in the European External Service (EEAS), a department set up by the EU 3 years ago to serve as a foreign ministry and diplomatic corps for the European Union.Westcott commended the role Uganda is playing in trying to bring peace to Somalia.
The President and the visiting envoy stressed the importance of enhancing further the long standing relationship between Uganda and the EU.
State Minister for International Affairs, Okello Oryem and the EU Head of Delegation in Uganda Roberto Ridolfi, among others, attended the meeting.
