Israel calls for cooperation in war against terror

Former Israeli Commissioner of Police Shlomo Aharonishky is urging for understanding and cooperation in the war against terror.

The former police commissioner who is in the country on a feasibility study on how to assist the country in dealing with terror threats and terrorism says the war on terror is not a war on any given religion.

At the same time through public, private participation the government intends to establish a security academy to complement efforts by mainstream security training institutions.

Former Israeli Police Commissioner Shlomo Aharonishky says the war on terror is not a one off event.

He says with the political will already shown by the government, it was important that the international community assists Kenya in fighting terror cells in the region.

Shlomo who currently runs the National Security Project (NSP) in Israel called on security agencies to work with civilians and to also raise public awareness on effective ways of dealing with terrorism if they hope to win the war on terror.

Hawk Solutions Limited Executive Director Paul Thige said through public, private partnership his company intends to establish a security academy in the country that will help in complementing government efforts aimed at fighting crime and terrorism.
