A very informative and interesting report was broadcast by the BBC Arabic Television Channel on girls in higher education on war-poverty-famine ravaged Somalia.

The report revealed that there are only 22 percent of the total 3,000 students in Mogadishu University. These girls are bravely struggling daily against terror and strong traditions to continue their journey to attain some kind of higher education which open for them the gates for a better life in the future.
While we strongly salute these brave young Somali girls, we would like to ask where are the UN women roles in this context? Shall we hope not to wait very long for your answer UN Women?
