There is joy in the Somali community after two men were found guilty Friday, in the 2008 murder of a Somali man west of the city.Alexander Reid and Adam Brown were convicted of second-degree murder, in the death of Mohammed Ibrahim. Ibrahim was gunned down at the River Cree Casino. Reid and Brown were also found guilty of one count each of assault with a weapon.
Family spokesman Abdul Hussein says the Somali community always had faith in the justice system. While lamenting that the verdict can't bring Ibrahim back, Hussein says the community is please.
Sentencing arguments will be heard December 13th. (dl, jrw)
