Milton Keynes shootings: Tests confirm fatal wounds

A post-mortem examination has revealed a teenager who died following a double shooting in Milton Keynes was shot twice in the head.

Ahmed Ismail, 18, died in hospital after the shooting in an alleyway in Fishermead last Thursday night.

The other victim, Mohamed Abdi Farah, 19, of Birmingham, died from a single gunshot wound to the head.

Two men, aged 21 and 33, are being held on suspicion of murder. A boy, 13, was bailed pending further inquiries.

The post-mortem examinations were carried out on Saturday at Milton Keynes Hospital.

Police said three males from Bletchley had been arrested on Friday. The victims were originally from Somalia.

Somali community leaders in Milton Keynes are helping Thames Valley police with their inquiries.

Leaflets appealing for information have been published in English and Somali and are being distributed across the town.

Detectives have ruled out the killings being gang-related at this stage.

Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the shooting.
