We are indebted to both Kenya and Ethiopia and we appreciate their help.

Kenyans and Ethiopeans are our brothers and neighbours, so we should all move together and develop the eastern poverty-ridden part of Africa.
This region has two nemeses both of which don't like peace and progress and they are Shabab and poverty. No one country can defeat them alone, only a concerted effort to refuse any space and resource for them.

That is the reality if one is realistic.

 Ayub Yusuf

Are you saying the prophet(peace be upon him) never engaged in peaceful talks with his enemies?

Making bilateral deals with Kenya and Ethiopia doesn't mean Somalia is abandoning its interests. On the contrary, Somalia's is protecting its interests and promoting good and respective relationship with its neighbours.

The more you engage the other side, the more their fears and suspicions are allayed.

A stable Jubbaland is, no doubt, in Somalia's interest,  but Jubbaland as Kenyan buffer zone isn't in Somalia's interest.

Jubbaland is the most diverse region in Somalia and also coincidently where most of the president's clan lives.

President Farmaajo has support across the whole country but perhaps more so in Jubbaland than any other region.

Farmaajo can succeed in operation detach Kenya from Jubbaland by detaching Madoobe from Kenya and Ethiopia but if Maddobe refuses, he should look to isolate him.

An isolated Madoobe will not do much and that is how Farmaajo has to proceed with all regional leaders.

The leaders of these regions aren't important as they can be gotten rid of just like Hassan Sheikh .

The most important thing is the relationship between the public and Somali government.

The job of Federal government is to raise the voices of the people so that they hold these regional leaders accountable.

Once there's accountability at national as well as local levels, these regional leaders can no longer do what they want.

For those who do not understand, there used to be a big difference
between Kenya and Ethiopia with respect to the Somali relations.
It was always based on how the two countries treated their respective Somali ethnicities.
Kenya has never mistreated its ethnic somalis and relations between the two countries were always normal.
Ethiopia on the contrary was seen as a coloniser of the ethnic somalis and their immense oppression of the Somali
people culminated in a war that lead to a regime change in Ethiopia and total destruction of the Somali state.
As things are now, both ethnic somalis in Kenya and Ethiopia are well represented politically and economically,
therefore I am anticipating normalised relations between the three countries and fruitful economic cooperation and development.
