Start solving problems at an early stage: come up solution as a doctor why an old person needs a hip replacement and how to prevent. As an engineer : how to build that suspended bridge to make roads safer and passable. As a Botanist: how to recolonize the new deserts with hardy and durable plants. As Biologist: New form of animal husbandry to rear fewer animals tor higher meet and milk per Kg. All that needs a lot of study while young and a sharp trained mind. God be with you.
