Mirqaanland Folk:
The first voluntary and independent decision Somalis in the
north and in the south made when they gained freedom from their
colonial oppressors was reunification of Somalis! Why then put
more weight on the imposition of Somalis by invading colonial
powers, as evidence of separateness, than the sacred and free
decision of Somalis to reunify? Shame on you, E-doori!

Mr. Trunji,
There is a big difference between gaining independence and becoming
a "state." Neither former British Protectorate in the north nor the
Italian Trustee in the south ever become a state ( before the union)
--independent, yes; state, no--that is because neither side had ever
bothered to apply to become a state on its own.
There was no Somaliland of either in the north or in the south ever
recognized respectively by any one country or by any international
body as its own country! I challenge you to prove me wrong!
