Blaah blaaah blaah. All gaalos assume blacks do things to impress them. What little SL has comes from a basic social n security contract between the ppl. Unlike in Zoomalia with laws made in a Kenyan Zoo at Empagathi.

Isaaq declared secession from Somalia because they were running away from the duopoly of Hawiye and Darood.

Now there's a duopoly within Isaaq itself in the shape of Habar Je'lo and Habar Awal, which have side lined Garhajis.

I  have a feeling that after the "election" either Irro or Wareebe will declare they no longer support the secession cause.

Something will happen after the "election", definitely. I don't know what, but it's going to be pretty big.

I think this "election" is the tip over. It kind of crystalizes where Somaliland politics is right now.

Perhaps this is where it's always been. I have not been following it for long.

But it's too obvious and perhaps too much for some. The charade has to come to an end one day.

It's not an election, because the winner has already been decided. Irro and Warabe have no hope of winning.

A place where different or opposing views are not allowed is not a democracy.

I hope that the FGS put this to Somaliland administration when they next hold talks.

The one clan enclave wants to be secede and claims to be democratic yet it won't allow different and opposing views.

Free speech is the first test of democracy and Somaliland fails that miserably.

Holding these fake elections between one sub-clan, and even then who will be president is decided by clan elders before there's any vote, is not anywhere near democracy.

Haaf just signed he's resignation letter: “When the political crisis arose after my impeachment I was forced to spend the one Million” Haaf said. Money was used to impeach me therefore I had to use money to defend myself” he said. “This am telling you heart to heart. The money belonged to Galmudug coffers. But if my position is threatened I have no option but to defend myself and you my people” he told the Ministers and MPs.

This brazen admission is quite astonishing! What can he expect after admitting the miss appropriation of public funds?

It's not just a resignation matter but a prison matter.

There's talk of fighting corruption, but has there ever been a more clear cut case than this?

All relevant authorities must take the necessary action to deal with this crime.

Has the FGS set up the relevant authorities to fight corruption?

How can it really fight corruption without an independent Judicial Service and Constitutional Court? They must be set up immediately.

Is there an independent anti-corruption committee and if so, what are its powers, scope and parameters?

All eyes are now on the FGS and FMS and what steps they take to fight corruption.

This admission by Haaf gives the FGS the best opportunity to really push through with its anti-corruption drive.

This is the first really big test for the FGS to see if it meant what it said.

At least now the Galmudug conundrum is resolved, in a way.
