No, that is not what I am saying. And by the way warlords have no business of controlling anything just like pirates, they ought to be banished to history.

Fairness is fairness and not to blah blah until caught red handed. Let the truth be told.

 Kalumeyste!

So anyone who disagrees with you is "professional demagogue" in your tiny mind?

Maanka allah kaa qaad!

Abdi mashkuur, you are wrong sxb there are many ports that are now controlled by warlords do you mean we should not talk about that revenue and mogadishu should be shared by  all somalis that is not fair.

Taxes are paid by whosoever earns money or owns wealth. Or else Mogadishan should leave and we are happy to pay all required by the government without a grumble.

Baay and Bakool-is who built this nation, are virtually penniless and so susceptible to disasters more than anyone else, should they be asked to tax now?

Come and visit the great cities of Wanlaweyn,Waajid,Rabdhuure,Hudur  etc, where is their wealth? All in Mogadishu.!

One step at a time, let the government govern, and keep your old dreams shut. Now we are embarking on a new era. All Somalia's national assets are Mogadishu, so where else do you expect to fork out the tax.! The rest do not even have basic water and sanitation system,no high rise buildings, no proper schools, no real Hospitals, no electricity grid,no Villa Somalia,no roads, and no teacups for when the president spends a night there, and yet the little Mogadishu was built by all.
Mogadishans Should fund the government operations until such time that the nation's wealth is equitably distributed.

Cali Macallin, I totally agree with you, Mogadishu is the capital city and the only tax payer
at the moment that is supposed to fund the entire government. That is neither fair  nor practical
as increasing taxes will only upset people. Somalia needs to print the Somali Shilling however,
it requires monetary and strong financial policies. Our local currency was strong and the exchange
rate remained stable for long period at So. Shs 6.23 until 1982 when the corruption and the tribalism
that Siad Barre was supposed to fight when he came into power quadrupled and situation deteriorated
from bad to worse until the government collapsed.

Drivers and messengers just because they were from Siad Barre's sub clan became branch
managers and started embezzling funds and lending money without collateral. Many hardworking
people lost their savings and the bank was declared bankrupt in 1990 although, it was insolvent
since 1989. Practically the Bakara market was acting as a bank by cashing the bankers checks.

Hope that Prime Minister Khayre is truthful about him taking the footsteps of our patriot and honest
former Prime Minister may Allah grant him Paradise Abdirizak Haji Hussein, hope that president
Farmajo is also truthful about fighting corruption. The first test for the president was to appoint the
Prime Minister and it was a success as he was overwhelmingly endorsed by the parliament, his second
test is to let the Prime Minister select the cabinet without any interference and free from former
presidential candidates since most of them are power hungry and will only cause problems.

The parliament represents the Somali people and should keep their eyes open and not accept partisan politics.
