... Mogadishu offers more and more as it competes neighbouring capital cities as more Somalis bring back their expertise and bring home the much needed investment that was lacking in the war years.

The take away here is it is safe as any other.

Or take the 15 minute shuttle bus between Xamar Jadiid to Suuq Bacaad market: this has distinct  flavour and aromatic smell which will hit you as soon as you arrive in it's flangs. The perfume factory is just one kilometer away churning the exotic local flowers where ancient merchants still to this day use the old craft to produce traditional Muqdishawi Attar and Khumkhum.

If you like to spend time with fresh air of the sea, AbdelAziz quarter of the city and its pristine peaches are waiting you to explore.

What's that all about? it has never been better.

They should be saying ask Abdi mashkuur as your guide: Come and visit the Mogadisho and enjoy the historic city of Shingani and its colourful local handcrafts. Or Visit Royal Xamarweyne fish market where the delicacies of the indian ocean's entire variety of fish is available in a fraction of Shillings. Or take an open bus tour to East African sprawling Bakaro market where local textile fabrics sit to side with the latest far-eastern Kaftans as well as Balcad cotton weavers' latest fashions.
