The government will be shortly declaring victory over Al-Shabab. Also, chances now are very high of AMISOM total departure from Somalia at the end of 2018! The draw down of Amisom will begin at the beginning of next year! Farmajo government has indeed shown spectacular successes against Al-Shabab quietly with the help of US Special Forces alongside Somali Special Forces! On to a diplomatic victory to propel the federal government as the sole power over all regions in relation to outside world. Soon, nothing goes out or in of Somalia, in relation to the world, without the approval of Mogadishu! All roads will lead to Mogadishu! Far too long, the weakness of the national government in Mogadishu has given some regions the illusion to dress up as an independent organ from the seat of power in Mogadishu! There will be a rude awakening soon when the power in Somalia and all Somalia crystallizes in Mogadishu. Those who thought they had on the side power will find out they have none. They better go to Mog and ask permission! The continuing severe negative reaction by Somalis over this incident speaks to the gravity of what was done! But why this was done? The government in Mogadishu is not run by stupid people; they knew the kind of backlash, which is happening now, they would reap!  This was done deliberately! Ethiopian soldiers in central Somalia could have picked this man from Galmudug, which would have given Mogadishu a "deniability" cover. Instead, the government in Mogadishu has taken custody of Qalbi Dhagax from Galmudug and Ethiopians picked him up from Mogadishu! Why, why? Now, it would seem that Qalbi Dhagax was sacrificed for some big move on the part of the government. It would seem Mogadishu is eying a political consolidation of the whole country. According to government sources, Al-Shabab is no longer a threat to worry about. The US has intensified its destruction, and Al-Shabab as an armed threat is on its death nil. The move of handing Qalbi Dhagax to Ethiopia is for the Federal government to consolidate its power over the whole country by denying regions like Puntland and Somaliland their on the side ally of Ethiopia. On this move, the Somaliland especially will be shut down for good, as Ethiopia will simply cut it off and only deal with the federal government of Somalia! Ethiopia now sees that its interest is better served by one Somalia under the control of the Federal Government in Mogadishu! No more Silanyo or Abdi Wali or Madobe or whoever regional leader flying to Ethiopia. No more dealing with Somali regional governors by Ethiopia. Bye, bye! The Ethiopian government is now guaranteeing to close the chapter of the so-called breakaway fantasy of Somaliland diplomatically at the AU, UN, and EU. Ethiopia is to stop any dealings directly with any region in Somalia! Now, the question is, is sacrificing a Somali and his cause worth all that? You decide!
