Why blame others when you all know Somalia is its own enemy? It doesn't matter who says or does what in the free world. What matters is how you synthesize the info. and play smart. If you deny your foolishness then you are one.
Abdinoor keep on writing what you think, I hope the people of Somalia will one day replace the imported bloody bullets with the power of pen and reason.

Gedi Means he vows to assist an Ethiopian Takeover of Mogadishu.
Abdik, it has past that moment of criticism, it's now No Capital, no Country.
Iranians put aside their differences they were fighting each other when Attacked by Iraq, then they defended even though most people did not like the Irani Mullahs they help them defend the country.
Today they are a power in the world instead of being a colony of Iraq. Think!

Mr. Abdi-Noor Mohamed you are a fool or you are playing fool.
How could you caracterize the current standoff between the Tigray army and the
the army of Somali Islamic Courts as a war between somalis amd claim that you live
in Mogadishu.

There is something wrong with you and Hiiraan.com who is giving you the podium.

"ibya, Eritrea, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Yemen and Djibouti"

With friends like these who needs enemies.

Brother Abdi-Noor do not be fooled this is not a civil war
that is about to happen but a war between two countries which
are historical enemies I am sad that our brother and sister working
for these cites must censure them selves and can't speak the truth. Why
are they alleiviating this problem we face. We can not let foriegners occupy
our land why we still breath.
Here is a clear and easy way to consider which side to choose:
These are the Countries reportedly arming the ICU Iran, Libya,
Eritrea, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Yemen and Djibouti; mostly
muslim countries. Arming the TFG are Ethiopia, and Uganda. So my people
who do you think is looking for our interest a bunch of muslim countries or our
arch enemy and a country we never had any relations with?

And of course the "culumo" businessmens are not rich huh? The men I saw in Dubai sending expired medicine and foods to Somalia were not the sons of warlords but indeed the same men financing this current "Jihad" in Somalia.

I worked for the United Nations for few years and I can tell you brother that indeed the organization publishes similar reports almost every year. And in each report the org. not only mentions the names of countries providing help to the different sides in the Somali conflict but also the names of fringe groups as well. This may suprise you and others but last time even United States was on that same list because of the help they provided to the former Mogadsihu warlords of Yalahow and company.

If you really think the entire weapons in Somalia come from the border countries for business reasons I have a bridge I want to sell you in Baraawe. Wake up. Don't let your one sided support for the UIC blind you from the truth.

Oh yea, as for the answer to the question about where the arms come from.
They come from the same place qat comes from neighboring markets. Just like the Nationalist brother said its a matter of Economics. If you think somalis are poor you probably dont know how rich war lords are. And they can always spare some cash to enhance their hardware.
    WALAALEEYE @ 11/26/2006 4:47 PM EST
 Poetry huh..

Why didnt the UN ask that questions during the last ten years? When the war lords were tearing up the places with ever increasing weapons, they couldnt care less. now the fighting stops, Mogadish is unified for the first time in 16 years, and this question comes up.
We might not make Weapons but the have become part of our national culture!
    abdik @ 11/26/2006 1:01 PM EST
So let me you this question brother truth teller or to the rest of you. Somalia does not make weapons. We don't have a plan to make guns. So as the brother asks where are the guns coming from?

The answer is somewhere. We are one of the poorest countries in the world but we are still seeing some expensive weaponry inside Somalia. Perhaps the U.N report was not accurate but lets not ignore the fact, the simple fact, that some foriegn interests are taking sides in Somalia and arming their allies.

Already believing the faulty lies reported by the so called "experts" in the UN
Many real experts said about this report "Not even worth the ink and paper used to print it".

    Nationalist @ 11/25/2006 10:26 PM EST
Where are the arms coming from? the writer asks. It is called supply and demand economics 101. Where ther is a demand, prohibition, embargoes and sanctions doesn't have a chance.
