I am very delighted to read this article, because those were the kids younger than us when we use to represent San Diego. I am glad they took the torch and it's their turn to shine. I feel very old to see Hashim and those guys actually representing San Diego.

"While their parents grew up in Somalia, where soccer was the sport of choice". Oh the ignorance of the article. Somalia used to enjoy Soccer and Basketball equally. Including swimming, where Mogadisho had numerous Olympic size pools.

However its good to see our youth in sport and our seniors in politics.
