Hassan Sheik will be in town only if there is a prime minister to sack or dinner to be given, otherwise he has no business in Mogadishu. With respect to Mogadishu misfortune, our problems are local business who do not want to see stability, as that would mean paying taxes. So they stage mortar shows, looting then credit Shabab who are all too eager to claim credit.

This is sad, the weak government is getting weaker. They have to resign now including the president.

I don't know why pres. Hassan Sheikh is out of the country but he needs to come back quickly because Mogadishu is under heavy bombardment. I don't think it will make much difference as it these attacks were happening when he was in Mogadishu but he should at least be with the people otherwise it will look like he doesn't care.

The first responsibility of a government is security but the security in Mogadishu is deteriorating day by day and unless the government gets a firm grip quick on the situation it will lose its legitimacy.

Those taking great joy from Mogadishu's misfortune must remember that it's taken a great burden as well and if another city was made Somali Capital it will face the same problems Mogadishu has been facing for 23 years. Be careful what you wish for! With great privilege/power comes great responsibility.
