..Correction whoever wrote this article..I quote 'The conflict between Jubbaland and Federal Goverment'..which Jubbaland..there more than 6 administrations..the problem is between a warload and a legitimate goverment. As the president said in his statment at Igad ..we must not allow impunity and lawlessness anymore.

The Bantu members of the Kenyan Goverment have no idea what is going on amoung Somalis..their ill advised policy is crafted by the Ogaden cartel that is so powerful in the Kenyan goverment..but I think it seems they have started to see some reality. But Madobe and his Somali backers in Kenya and inside Somalia should know their options are limited..they agree to all inclusive process under the goverment or return to the clan war that we are all familiar with..the result of which we can all predict..When we talk of Kenya suffering .. we must be more specific and say it towns like Garissa that will burn too...

 Bob,
You are almost right that the Somali gov't to act fast, but
instead of taking the advantage while its enemy is in disarray,
and sending 10th of thousands to Kismayu, it better send the
same level of elders that are there in Kismayu, demanding that
their effort is trashed and convince them that we are all pulling
the boat to the same shore, but with different way; so please
let's work a methodology where we can pull it in the same
way. And that is much more easier and faster for every one.
I am sure, if that methodology is worked together, and it can
be, we would be much more better position, without IGAD and
any one else, than where we were/are yesterday and today !!!

on the somali side the government needs to move with speed. engage the true locals and they are in the absolute majority, let them contribute the men to be trained and let the government change facts on the ground with a sense of urgency. with roughly 8-10 000 heavily armed men, together with enough Amisom forces backed with government diplomacy, this will be an impossible task for a clan rebel to confront. Remember both ethiopia and kenya are one of the poorest countries in the world and they fell out of favor with the major powers and that is why igad remains unsure of what to do. uhuru has an ongoing case at the icc together with his deputy and he is very much shunned by the free world. ethiopia's PM is in a difficult position as he is confused who to listen to considering the bickering tigre "leaders", right now he is taking orders from samora yusuf as he drives for hours to work because his official residence is still occupied by azeb that is how confused their PM is. so, somalia is in a good position to take advantage in the disarray of her enemies, that is if we move with speed

That scheme won't succeeded, it failed during siyad barre's time when he had absolute control over somalia, its very much akin in fighting nature and no one ever won over nature! what will happen is, a huge disgruntled, unemployed, armed and trained men completely uprooted will flood their border towns as we are already witnessing today! thousands of kenyan-somalis trained to fight in somalia simply returned back with their weapons and are already wrecking havoc in kenya itself. just today they had over 5 people killed in garissa, with the qaat market burned and other businesses torched, down north mandera was overrun by similar trained militia in their hundreds basically occupying string of villages and that is what prompted ruto the deputy president of kenya asking for the extension of amisom into kenya

Bob, kenya is not backing off, this was their all the way, create a demon in Kismayu and watch the firework, while project Port Lamu and oil exploration on our cost continue. They want us fighting each other. Seeing the guys streaming from west Ethiopia and NFD, looks like Kenya and Ethiopia suceeded.

kenya reminds me of the ill fated ethiopian invasion of 2006-9. I wonder if they have the resilience to fight that long. it seems though according to the latest igad news they are already backing off which is very wise move from their side
