 Folks,
HSM and his inefficient three Prime Ministers and respective cabinets have disappointed us.
I nearly "ululated like my aunt" when he sat quietly beside Sharif Ahmed and was declared the winner.
The great hope, the new dawn!
He could have at least walled the capital and make the capital a safe citadel instead of wandering the globe like a modern Ibn Battuta, with no tangible benefit to the common folks..
I should have dreamed in B&W instead of dreaming green pastures that were not to materialize.
I don't support Farmaajo for anything he did in the past, but hope he takes a different path than his fellow hill dwellers.
    amina_samajecel @ 3/5/2017 5:43 PM EST
 Brother Topclan,
I supported Farmajo however, him denying the facts and saying that our Country was failing
for the past 25 years is an insult and misrepresentation of the facts and that triggered me to
read his thesis. I am not biased, and don't have clannish feelings at all. I think Farmajo and
some of his clan members have clannish feelings, they are in total denial. It is obvious that
a lot has been achieved from 2000 and this is thanks to our brothers in Djibouti and Mr.David
Stephen the Representative of the SG and head of UNPOS during Arta conference before then
Somalis couldn't even agree to form a government we had problems on the way but we have been
moving since then. All former presidents deserve our respect.

My question to those who blame HSM of corruption now he is gone why you are asking
to raise funds for the SNA? Why Farmajo doesn't use those funds to pay civil servants, SNA,
the two houses and defend our maritime boundaries? Why he suddenly needs the support
of all Somalis? Do you think that the previous governments needed the support of all Somalis?
If you think they failed, though I don't think so, it is partially our responsibility since we didn't
help them neither materially nor  morally.

As far as his thesis is concerned he made a mistake and he is accountable now to correct that
he must apologise and ensure that the history of our heroes as well as the atrocities
committed by the Siad Barre regime are taught in the schools.

Some people focus on the civil war, civil wars happened everywhere and what happened in
Somalia happened in the USA and in Europe. However had we had our strong national army
it would have defended our people and neither a dictator nor warlords would be able to destroy our
country. Good example is the way the Egyptian army defended their country.

Another example is the one of Kenya when president Moi stepped down for the sake of
his people and because of that today he is respected.

When you stop insulting former president HSM then I will stop defending him.

Anyway, my advise to those who support Farmajo and keep insulting former president
HSM is your propaganda machine and your fake news from 2012 till 8 February 2017
worked you won the election now stop and move on. Make sure that our maritime
boundaries are protected and we have clean hands government.

After that epic bone fire of 1991, the Phoenix refuses to rise back again from its' ashes, so far.
Hope is the last thing to die and there is life after HSM as was the case after AY and Sh Sharif and those before them.
    secular @ 3/5/2017 2:26 PM EST
 Folks,
Did HSM enrich himself, immediate family and relatives?
If the answer is "NO", then I owe him an apology, since ineptitude is not a crime but a mere shame.
As for Farmaajo, he will be judged by what he does in the coming few months.
@ Amina & HSM apologists,
If this consoles you : Siyad tried to build the country, initially, and destroyed it later with the help of close family members and hired guns from all clans.

 Abwaan Ahmed

Quite the contrary. We wished Farmaajo to be president and it was granted, thank god.

I can get used to this kind of humiliation. Let me ask you a question, you think this is more humiliating than the way Somalis are treated everyday around the world, especially in Ethiopia and Kenya? You think this is more humiliating than Somalis killing each other, or day in seas or dying from famine?

Maybe you should think about that the reason Somaliland's independence isn't happening might because of the darkness with which you seem to wish on us. Stop the tribalism and wish your brothers well.

Farmaajo is the president we asked for and he is building the government we asked and to be against that is to wish us ill.

 amina_samajecel

It's a matter of opinion.

You can disagree with someone but that doesn't mean that they are bad or horrible.

It's very difficult to get angry over something a guy wrote years for his thesis, when we have real problems to deal with.

I have defended you before and said that what you wrote was not clannish in themselves but it could be interpreted as such.

I  find your criticism of Farmaajo quite strange and it is based basically on what he wrote on his thesis.

His thesis are one thing but now his president and you have to judge him on that.

I disagree completely that Farmaajo disrespected Somali leaders in the 1960's and criticism isn't about what his done as PM and or what he has done so far as president.

I must say your criticism of Farmaajo is blinkered and totally unjustified.

If you can't make constructive criticism, it just sounds like tribalism or petty jealousy.

Claiming he bad mouthed great Somali leaders is not good enough.

Amina , give us the good news, does the king have donkey ears after all? Skeleton in the closet kkk
Mr Nuunoow's floodgates are open now. Your hope just evaporated Mr.kkk
    amina_samajecel @ 3/4/2017 1:11 PM EST
My brother Nuunow you should read his MBA thesis he accused our heroes
to be supporters of the colonial powers and insulted some Somali clans. By
the way the three clan that he portrayed as collaborators of the colonialists
are the clans of the three officers that Siad killed to silence and threaten the
Somali people.

I love my country I want us to succeed we don't need history to repeat itself
as some people are in denial. We should give the new government a chance
but the president has to make an Official Apology to the Somali people and
his clanmen should stop creating enemies for him.

We should forgive each other there is no single clan who is victorious but we should never
forget the atrocities committed by the former regime it should be taught in our schools so
that no one makes the same mistake.
    Nuunow @ 3/4/2017 12:41 PM EST
 Amina,

Sis, I think you're being a little bit unfair towards Farmajo. Why not give him at least benefits of doubts before judging and jumping to hasty conclusions?

    Nuunow @ 3/4/2017 12:36 PM EST

HSM, welcome back indeed - a hero and a victim of disinformation and propaganda!

    Abdi mashkuur @ 3/4/2017 12:24 PM EST
Please basas, you are neither basas nor ogaden, please stay away from racism and abuse.
If you continue this way you will be banned from this and other websites.
    Basas ogadan @ 3/4/2017 11:58 AM EST
Basas oogaden says stupid haweye you can run but you can't hide ,doffar darrod is coming to rule  with the of Kenya and Ethiopia, with the help Kenya and Ethiopia, LOW IQ haweye
    Abdi mashkuur @ 3/4/2017 11:44 AM EST
Thanks Mr president and welcome back. I new you weren't gonna forsake us.
Let us build the country together and those wishing to pursuit you, let them now that you are here and anything MP must have you should also have.

Thanks HSM and let the crying dogs continue their wailing.
    Somali shifta @ 3/4/2017 11:15 AM EST
This question goes out to those who are defending HSM. What major policies will he
be trying to accomplish as an MP when he failed to enact them when he was president?.
Do you guys believe he can contribute more to the rebuilding of Somalia as member of
Parliament rather than he was president?.
    amina_samajecel @ 3/4/2017 11:04 AM EST
May Allah protect our former president his excellency Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud he is indeed
a statesman and he will remain as a statesman, insulting him doesn't change the facts.
Unlike Farmajo he has a vision and served his people during the civil war.
Former president unlike Farmajo didn't write in his thesis lies
about respectable heroes like former Prime Minister Abdullahi Isse, presidents Aden Abdulle and
Abdirashid Ali Shermarke may Allah grant all of them Paradise.
Farmajo deserves to be taken to court for lying about our history.

Mark my words history will expose the true colours of Farmajo he thinks that
he can misrepresent history and that will not be possible. Mohamed Siad Barre destroyed our
Country he was the reason for the civil war, he was the reason Somaliland left, he was the reason
Somalis don't trust each other. From 2000 the country was on the road of healing but Farmajo
and some of his clan members want to destroy that.
    nuun @ 3/4/2017 10:51 AM EST
Despite what paranoia and propaganda driven Somalis says, I always knew HSM is good man with high integrity than most of us.

    Somali shifta @ 3/4/2017 9:05 AM EST
I bet he won't last as an MP within 6months. He will go away
If the Farmaajo administration will accommodate his demands and that of his masters.
Otherwise he will undermine them every turn and they know he can do that. So the Deep state
truly taking root in Somalia.
    Somali shifta @ 3/4/2017 8:58 AM EST
It's an attempt to seriously intimidate the Farmaajo administration
And blackmail them into protecting the status quo in terms of protecting the
Shady deals previously signed by him. Now the Farmaajo administration will have
to take him and master seriously. They know he organized the mudollod vote in Parliament
a
    Abdisheikh @ 3/4/2017 8:53 AM EST
If you look at the bright side, it shows that he is willing to serve his country in any level. Also, he is now more exposed to be targeted by the ever-present danger of Alshabab. That also shows his determination.
    Somali shifta @ 3/4/2017 8:47 AM EST
I have a feeling this guy was seriously compromised by the dark forces he made deals with.
They won't let him retire and enjoy his ill gotten wealth in a villa somewhere in the Mediterranean or
In the Persian Gulf. Now the poor guy is being forced to become an MP to protect the interest of the DARK forces
and their web of corrupt and shady deals he signed while in office. Those dark forces know that the prime estate in Mogadishu,
The airport contract and so many will be in serious trouble from the incoming administration and they are just protecting themselves.
And the only person who they can really rely on is HSM, they believe he's the only person who can rally the Mudollod vote as a single united voice.
