 Folks,

Notice also how this government has curtailed regional clan presidents from traveling to Ethiopia especially. You hardly hear them going out of the country lately, due to the federal government restrictions. It is very hard to rebuild a nation when some are working against it in the interest of outsiders who want to keep Somalia in chains! But I hope there will be clear evidence of wrong doing, which should be made public, and the charges appropriate for the alleged wrong doing! No doubt this will have a chilling affect on many others, who are a sellout to their nation!

Despite setbacks and roadblocks, as I said before, this current government is the best hope to see Somalia in the clear and out of danger and on to a one man-one vote nationwide! I believe nothing will stop Somalia now from marching onward to a solid state and better than ever!

Well said topclan. There is not one country who will accept people who are openly sponsored by other countries to overthrow an elected government. Thats
treason and in most countries you will get a life sentence or a death penalty. The government of Somalie has shown their real power. We as a people have shown our power
and that we wont accept this anymore. I hope all other people who where involved in this matter will be punished. Even presidents of the maamul goboleedyada. We as a nation and people are fed up
with these criminals and also with foreign countries interfering with our internal affairs. Down with UAE Saudi Arabia and Israel they all work together and are also the ones who have helped to make Jerusalem the capital of Israel.

 Folks,
He could be as guilty as sin, but we have not seen yet any proof of the serious accusations leveled against him.
Many of us disliked the guy since he signed that infamous MOU with Kenya and his association with the other "usual suspect", CCC and other "co-conspirators".!
Let's wait and see the articles of indictment and if they stick on him as many of his detractors with axes to grind bet on.
Fairness demands that we should consider him innocent until he is found guilty.
I hope NISA and AG have a water tight case against him and the others, otherwise we are in an awful uncharted territory.

That's just a lazy comment.

Any time the government tries to enforce the law doesn't mean it's acting like Barre.

That's similar to Goodwin's law.

You are missing the big point, which is that the current opposition are allowed to do many things including to revoke confidence in the government.

Farmaajo and PM are seeking to hold power. They have not been in power for even a year.

For goodness, where is the perspective?!

What do you make of those trying to overthrow the government that's not even one year, a government that's done more than the previous governments combined?

These so called politicians are losing their mind of this government and are trying everything to overthrow it, including colluding with foreign countries.

The fundamental point is this: this government is legitimate but the political opposition is not.

Collaborating against your country is not something any government will accept.

Somalia has enough internal strive without external forces adding to it by colluding with mercenaries like CCC and Abdishakur.

This is not an attack on democracy and freedom of speech; this is about bringing to justice those who collude with enemies against Somalia's interests.

I agree with Constitution Minister. A blanket ban on MPs holding meetings is unconstitutional as well as being counter-productive.

It has to be a limited and targeted approach. It main target should be those foreign collaborators like CCC and Abdishakur and stopping the selling and buying of votes.

Any meeting which is just talking shouldn't a problem but any meeting with the aim of buying MPs vote in order to overthrow the government should stopped and those responsible should arrested.

MPs, you can hold as many meeting as you want just as long as they don't include colluding with foreign countries and vote buying.

The government must select its targets carefully, but it should try not to alienate the majority of MPs.

The charges against Abdishakur relate to his collusion with foreign country to overthrow the nascent Somali government.

Tell me who can deny that? Who? We all know it's an open secret. No has the guts to do anything about and we stand as they overthrow a government which has the support of the people.

This is a government of the people and its duty is to defend the country against outside forces and those citizens who collaborate with them.

Is collusion with foreign entities acceptable? What action should the government take against those individuals?

They have to face justice and they will. The way the government went about it may look heavy handed but that was necessary.

Abdishakur and CCC must not be defended as legitimate political opposition. They are colluding against their country and must face the penalty for their crimes.

Crying for these tra-itors, give me a break!

If some of these idealists had their way, Farmaajo wouldn't have won the presidency.

The situation in Somalia is such that we must ask ourselves this question: what is a legitimate political opposition?

Do you consider colluding with foreign countries to overthrow the nascent Somali government to be legitimate?

Before you condemn the government's action, you must answer whether the actions of CCC and Abdishakur are legitimate political opposition.

Some people will say two wrongs don't make a right, but the fundamental point is that you must fix the first wrong so that the second one doesn't happen or have any leg to stand.

I don't hit anyone who hasn't hit me first, but I reserve the right to hit back and hit back hard someone who did hit me.

It's time to end impunity and let justice reign!

Down with tra-itors! Long live the government of the people and long live Somalia!
