  sonofsomalia,

I can tell your a patriot & a nationalist who cares about his country. I pray to Allah you have a successful life and to bless you and your family. You & I both know we have traitors in the country who care only for themselves. When peace returns its up to people like us to go home and start a political party. First on my agenda is banning Bancroft International from operating in Somalia for life, seizing all property that was illegally sold to them, and putting on trial the traitors who sold them Somali property.

I am not debating your conviction, you read the law and believe we will win, then thats enough for me. Perhaps i should retake course in Geopolitics and International relations.

 sonofsomalia,

The group has been active for years, and unlike you they take action to defend Somalia. If you dont understand international law, blame yourself for being dumb. I have read UNCLOS and I am aware of Somali laws, so I know Somalia will win the ICJ case.

 Bagdad Bob,

Changing the reality is not difficult in country blessed with traitors and collaborators. Displacing 9 million nomads with no sense of nationalism should not take 20 years, already there is substantial population of Oromo, Amhara and Tigray on the northen, central and southwestern Clanlands, the southern region. Its only Kenya who joined the game late.
    Baghdad Bob @ 10/24/2014 2:42 AM EST
The discussion, claims and counterclaims of Somali sea is a diversion meant solely to entertain Somalis while southern Somalia is integrated into Kenya. Kenyan armed forces are occupying from kismayu to the Kenyan border and are busy changing facts on the ground. The majority of the population in those occupied areas speak Swahili, hold Kenyan identity cards and have lived in Kenya for more than 20 years. Kenyan army collect tax at the port of kismayu and also collect tax on the Somali side. Another 20 years and we will have more Swahili speaking Somalis in that part of Somalia than Somali. Ethiopia is carrying out a similar process in punt land and somaliland.

It appeara Zami's optimism borders on naivitee, having said that, this group EAEF involuntarily highlighted something. Even with MOU being rejected by Somali public opinion and officially rejected by the TNG, them seconded during then constitutional formation, the TFG led by Qoslaaye, was having diplomatic discussions with Kenya on the matter.

To me this group sprung out of no where is indication of PR machine.

This group has released some press releases condemning the oil deal the permanent TFG signed with Soma Oil and Gas and lobbying oil companies which signed contract with Kenya giving them Somali oil blocks.

They are either legit and are protecting Somali interests or are doing the bidding of foreigners and have crafted a perfect plan to gain trust from Somalis.

In any case, I wonder why only the president is leading this process, why are parliament and cabinet Ministers involved?

  topclan,

If you think thats revealing get this.... Kenya only changed that law in 2005. Somalia has historical evidence including colonial boundry agreements with Britain and Italy which show the boundry as an equidistant line. Kenyas own laws from the 1970's says its a equdistant line. So this case is clearly on Somalias' side. A huge benefit from this drama has been it has united the Somali people. We know who the traitors to Somalia are, the people who signed that MoU need to be executed.

Do you know who this group EAEF is, because Kenyan transgression on Somali territory has been going on for along time but this is the first time we have heard them talking about the ICJ case and Kenyan agression. I was wondering why now and why didn't they do this before.

Also, their praise for Norway is quite extraordinary considering the role they have in helping Kenya annex Somali territorial sea. The most suspicious bit is the bit where they admit Norway has paid for and submitted application to the ICJ on Somalia's behalf when the government has hidden the fact. It's incredible that another country is submitting and pay for it without the knowledge of Somali parliament, cabinet ministers and public.

If there's nothing wrong with it, why was it hidden from the public? Hassan Ethiopia's unconstitutional and treacherous act will not be allowed  sucssed, god willing.
    topclan @ 10/23/2014 2:50 PM EST
"Furthermore, Kenya’s claims are in conflict with its own legislation. The Kenyan Maritime Zones Act of 1989 states that the Kenyan territorial sea boundary with Somalia is perpendicular to the coast and not parallel."

This is the most revealing information of all. This information along with law no.37 can seal the deal for Somalia.

 Zami

The law is the law but the law can be an ass sometimes.

I am a realist theorist. Picking up on a point made by sonofsomalia, unlike national law international law is hard to enforce and the reason why Kenya has not transgressed on Somali territorial waters but on Somali land too.

What specific law do you base on your confidence? Somali law no.37 is regarded as the most important law but you are prepared to disregard it completely.
    Zami @ 10/23/2014 2:12 PM EST
 topclan,

I'll let you in on a little secret... Its called international law. Your a conspiracy theorist who does not see the world as I do. I base my judgement on facts while you base yours on emotion. Calm down and read UNCLOS okay?
    topclan @ 10/23/2014 1:39 PM EST
 Zami

You are too funny to be taken seriously. It's funny how Zami says it's okay Somalia will win the case because its got the law and fairness on its side.

And the adds ominously that law no.37 is no more and we should get over. It's all over before it even began.

You should be worried, if not you might be in for a rude awakening.

Any court case is always possible to go either way and much depends on the evidence presented to the court.
    fiqicigaal1 @ 10/23/2014 12:08 PM EST
 sonofsomalia,

What is your worry? Are you worried that Somalia will lose? Or are you worried that the decision may not be implemented?

There is no ploy in the international law and when(am not saying if) ICJ decides in favour of Somalia, at least Kenya will not be able to outwit us and we will have powerful alleys who will stand by us and they too have their own interests and why not!
    Zami @ 10/23/2014 11:01 AM EST
 sonofsomalia,

Fighting a terrorist group and stealing another countries resources are completely different things. Your comparing apples and oranges. Somalia is rebuilding its coast guard as we speak, so Somalis' will protect they're own waters.
    sonofsomalia @ 10/23/2014 10:44 AM EST
This ICJ court is a big gamble and one Somalia did not need to take at this moment. Let me ask you this question, if the ICJ were to side with Somalia, how and who will enforce the verdict. On the same note if ICJ sides with Kenya who and how will enforce this rule. The trick about international law, is the enforcement. Nations respect each others power and resilience. In case you forget Kenya soldiers marched right into Somali territories without a single signature from our so called leaders, and now they are justified under the AU banner.

 Mulimahh,

Don't get stuck in monkey business. Have your say on the article there are more important things to discuss than the monkey word.

EAEF,

I think you are super cool and I am really proud of you. Well done.
