To be frank all Bbc poor workers did was what the master 'the Britishland' asked to conduct foreign policy and rule the airwaves, and that is how the piper corrected the tune, so no surprise there. Remember also this service brought down single-handedly the mighty USSR.

For me the question is why 'Wiifgraaw's are jumping the gun as if they owned it?

Just Northerners boasting for nothing, they will even praise.......! you know it as their own by saying they are 'reer howd like us.!

BBC Somali service was always anti Somali thanks to the internet and the social media its not relevant these days.

No doubt their contribution in developing the language, but equally negative contribution in the psyche of the nation where everyone appoints themselves to report like Been Been Sii, justly or not.
I once heard despite the fanfare and the pomposity in reporting, the team spent most of their working life in tiny smoke-filled room in an shack called bush house, good on them for surviving. The highest graduates from their Bbc tenure tenure today are the foreign federal foreign minister, and the much-despised prof Samatar. What they have in common is the polarization of otherwise a close family or relative.
May a third journalist named Abdullah Haji, a champion of hotly exaggerated subtle news, in his heyday he allegedly brought Somalia and Ethiopia into a collision course, by just being a national of both and a speaker of both national languages.
