When Sayid Mohamed was defeated by the British airforce many many years ago ,he left a poem called "Dardaaran" for his uneducated and nomadic people who was clapping for the British & Italian troops. After his demise Somalis suffered 75 years of colonialism and slavery. Why are talking about this tribe and that tribe when our entire nation is under Ethiopian occupation?,We are repeating the mistakes of our ancestors during the period I mentioned above. My advise to my fellow Somalis is do not,I repeat do not surrender you weapons until the Ethiopian forces are out of your country. Otherwise,one day you will watch helplessly while the Tigrian are raping your sister,daughter,or mother right infront of you,while some Somalis are clapping for the action "saying she deserves it because she is from so & so tribe". I hope one day my people will figure out the difference between internal conflict among Somali tribes and total occupation of thier country by foriegn troops. Hopefully for good.  It is clear that you have no idea what this group was upto in the long run. You have no idea of their larger umbrella, global ambition and the black hole they could have sucked our nation and people into. I am glad we did not live to witness. I love it! I think you pointed out the best solution for the Somali people but are the current field players ready to take it? Remember, that is what they should have done it in the first place, had they accepted this long time ago, 1500+ boys would not have died, Ethiopians would have been aliens to our people, Mogadishu would have been the safest city in Somalia and we would have had good functioning government. After all the killing and destruction are they willing to forget and forgive and do for the sake of the people? I hope they do, but TFG think they no longer have competing force in Somalia, and ego may stop UIC accepting this deal. I hope UIC accept for the sake of the country, if outside forces pressure the TFG not to deal with UIC, let’s remind them Somali people are with the same guys Ethiopia is telling you that they are no good, so either choose Ethiopia or your people the choice is yours!     Sheikhnor @ 1/6/2007 2:24 PM EST  Dr. Warsame, You put forward some viable alternatives to exit out of the current myhem. I deeply suspect that warlord Abdilahi Yusuf, under the watchful eye of his protege Meles Zenawi, will heed your pragmatic call. But then, you eloquently mention that the TFG is almost certainly going to self defeat if it ignores those important points.     Amira @ 1/6/2007 1:25 PM EST  thnks To Dr, Hussien, that was a nice article for our people and what the islamic courts have done in short time of priod. the TFG should appreciated the islamic courts and say thanks to them they came the capital city of somalia, when the islmaic courts re-opened intternational airport and sea port. with out the the islamic courts in somalia people of somalia would be the secend congo and lay down in the streets. however, thnks to dr hussein i hope my fellow somali poeple to understand what Dr hussien said in his article. that is owsome job thnks Dr hussein
