Let me see so the Somali people in Ottawa hardly graduate or complete high school is that why it's such a suprize when these 5 kids get it done? I do honor Abdulkarim Ahmed for maintain excellent GPA from grade 9 to graduation but other than that i don't see no great news other than couple Somali kids run out of high school parties due to their age. Now they either have to go to work and get busy or college and get busy No more hanging out late and partying with those cutie white chicks. At least walawayn speaks Italian and can pronounce correctly. What i have to say is not for you graduates but to the rest of Somalis. isn't it a low self expectation to feel good about couple of high school Grads when Somalis are given a chance in living properous nations where education is free . is it only me or all have noticed that ovewhelming majority of Somalis holding higher degree are degrees about social sciense,political science,arts,history etc. Check articles written by some of those, "separation of religionand state"; would it not be more helpful and practicle had it been something that helps people such as how to make Somali sheep more viable by interbreeding it with Ethiopian sheeps. Ours bring 35-40 U.S$ theirs bring 70-75 U.S$. How many of you know the land mass in Somalia that is good for farming,did any of the Article writers mention it is 8 million hecktors. For society that its' males can not do pluming job in the house,or fix a light pulp in the fridge,why anybody is not worried about education for sake of education. Education should be for the purpose of production. Majority of Somali degree holders hold titles of Art and humanity,isn't that worrisome. Do any of you wonder why Somalia is historicaly starving when (The Somali current) makes the coast one of the 5 top richest in fisheries next only to Lofoton of Norway!!. If i start a converstion about plants of somalia will any one of you join enthusiasticly. Do you even love that land??! Do you care?. How come a whole society is bloody minded!.
