Monday March 25, 2024

Garowe (HOL) - Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, the immediate former president of Somalia, said that his planned trip to Khatumo State would be postponed. He planned to visit several areas, including Lasaanood, Khatumo State's administrative center, but faced unspecified obstacles.

Farmajo expressed concern that his visit would disrupt local communities during the intense heat and the holy month of Ramadan.

Additionally, Farmajo and Khatumo State's leader, Abdiqadir Firdhiye, decided to postpone the trip. They agreed to reschedule for a more suitable time after a conference in Garowe. They plan to visit Lasanood, Buhoodle, Guumeys, Caroley, and other accessible areas to meet with locals.

Farmajo's remarks came during his stay in Garowe, where he attended several meetings with high-profile politicians against the ongoing constitutional review and amendments involving Somalia's Federal Government leaders.
