Three Somali fishermen found safe in Maldives after being lost at sea for over three months

    Mogadishu (HOL) - Three Somali fishermen who had been lost at sea for more than three months were reportedly found in the Maldives on Saturday.

    The Maldives police stated that the country's coast guard found the three fishermen on Saturday, and they are safe. Somali and Maldivian officials are reportedly working to reunite them with their families in Mogadishu soon.

    The fishermen were said to have disappeared after they began fishing off the coast of the Indian Ocean near Mogadishu. However, officials believe that the artisanal fishermen possibly got lost without direction due to weather conditions.
