Dhusamareb (HOL) — A newly appointed committee by Galmudug President Ahmed Abdi Kariye Qorqor has issued strict orders to address the tribal war in North Galgaduud, which has claimed more than 50 lives. The committee, composed of ministerial-level officials, is tasked with quelling the ongoing communal conflict that has caused significant destruction.
The recent orders focus on the war in the Landhere area, located between the towns of Aabudwaq and Herale in the Galgaduud region. The conflict has escalated, resulting in heavy casualties and extensive damage.
Galmudug Minister of Information Abshir Sheikhow announced the committee's directives to the media, stating that the warring parties must reinforce the ceasefire and move to their designated areas.
Additionally, the committee issued a strong warning to politicians, urging them to refrain from actions that could inflame the conflict for personal gain. The statement emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and avoiding further escalation.
