Mogadishu (HOL) - The Federal Government's Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Ali Haji Adan, handed over a new fully equipped ambulance to Farhiya Yusuf Omar Fahiye, who represents Casuura Hospital in the SSC-Khaatumo administration.
The hospital in the Yagoori area provides medical services to women in Sool, Sanaag, and Aiyn, collectively known as SSC-Khaatumo.
During the handover ceremony in Mogadishu on Monday, Dr. Ali Haji stated that the ambulance vehicle will support the provision of quick responses to any emergency.
Lawmaker Farhiya Yusuf thanked the federal government for prioritizing the needs of SSC-Khatumo, particularly health and humanitarian services.
Last year's fighting between the SSC-Khatumo forces and the Somaliland army destroyed the main infrastructure in key areas of the region, as several mortar shells struck hospitals in Las Anod and other areas in Sool and Sanaag.
