Oshkosh Defense Corporation to Sell Combat Vehicles to Iraq, Somalia

The US Department of Defense announced that Oshkosh has received a more than one third of a billion dollar contract to sell combat vehicles to Cameroon, Iraq and Somalia.
The US Department of Defense announced that Oshkosh has received a more than one third of a billion dollar contract to sell combat vehicles to Cameroon, Iraq and Somalia.


The Oshkosh Defense Company has received a more than one third of a billion dollar foreign military sales contract to sell more than 1,500 combat vehicles to Cameroon, Iraq and Somalia, the US Department of Defense announced.

"Oshkosh Defense [of] Oshkosh, Wisconsin, was awarded a $378.1 million… foreign military sales contract for procurement of 1,543 family of medium tactical vehicles," the announced stated on Friday.

Work will be performed in Oshkosh with an estimated completion date of July 31, 2018, the Defense Department said. In 2015, Oshkosh defeated Lockheed Martin in a race to win a $6.75 billion Defense Department contract to replace the US armed forces aging fleet of Humvee vehicles.
