Somali government said that Kenyan uthorities pledged to conduct deep investigations on alleged torture and corruption committed by some of the Kenyan security forces who were accused of treating inhumanly with the Somali people since the security swoop began in Nairobi nearly a month ago.

Somali Ambassador to Kenya Mohamed Ali Nur (Ameeriko) said that his embassy delivered complaints to Kenyan authority over torture against Somali people by Kenyan security forces who also are accused of taking bribe from Somali Nationals who have big businesses in that country.

“The authorities in Kenya told us they will investigate the matter and will punish every single soldier found of guilty of taking bribe from Somali people or torturing those currently being held at detention centres” Somali Ambassador to Kenya Mohamed Ali Nur (Ameeriko) told in an interview with the state-run media.

“We are responsible for the safety of Somali people and we will not accept that our people are humiliated or treated badly—we told Kenyan authorities to make sure that Somalis and other communities in Kenya are treated equally” ambassador Ameeriko noted.

On Thursday, Kenya deported 91 Somalis including women and children after weeks of living in detention at the Kasarani football Stadium in Nairobi where hundreds of Somalis are still being held.
