The pilot of a Pakistan International Airlines plane landed the aircraft mistakenly at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah instead of King Khaled International Airport in Riyadh, much to the annoyance of fatigued passengers, who have demanded compensation from the PIA.

Media reports said PIA's Flight731 was on its way from Karachi to Riyadh with more than 200 passengers on board.

Authorities have not disclosed reasons for the unplanned landing, saying it was an error.
The passengers were later transported by bus from Jeddah to Riyadh, a distance of 961 km. The PIA arranged and paid for the bus fare.

Several passengers expressed their anger over the way they were treated. Some claimed the plane changed route to save on fuel, while others have demanded that the pilot be held accountable for the error.
