A man and woman were shot to death in a car in south Minneapolison Friday night, and police were looking for at least one suspect.
A 911 caller reported shots fired at 29th Avenue S. and East Lake Street shortly before 9:30 p.m., said John Elder, a police spokesman.
When officers arrived, they found an adult man and woman dead in the parked car, he said.
The slayings did not appear to be a murder-suicide, he confirmed, but other details were not available late Friday as police combed the scene and sought witnesses.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s will verify the cause of death and release identities after autopsies, he said.
Anyone with information about the crime or suspicious vehicles in the area about that time is asked to call police at 612-673-2941 or 911.
Tipsters can also call 612-692-TIPS (8477). Tipsters can remain anonymous.
