Ethiopia: Speaker of Somali Parliament Visits Jigjiga

The Speaker of the Parliament of Somalia, Professor Mohammed Osman Jawari, has made a visit to Jijiga, the capital of the Somali Regional State.
On his arrival on Sunday (February 17th) the Speaker was warmly welcomed by the Regional President, Abdu Mohamoud Omar and other high-level officials.
The Speaker visited a number of the major development activities in the region and also went to both Jijiga University and the Teachers Training College.
During his visit to the University, Speaker Jawari talked to Somali students taking courses at the University. He is also scheduled to hold an experience-sharing discussion with high-level officials of the regional government, today Monday, February 18th before returning to Addis Ababa.
