KQ has lost over Sh300 million ($4
million) in revenues following the fire that razed the Jomo Kenyatta
International Airport, the airline's Chief Executive Titus Naikuni has
said.
The airline also said it is sending Boeing 777 to
go for the 492 passengers stranded in Hong Kong on Monday as the airport
resumes operations.
Temporary international arrivals terminal at state
pavilion will start functioning from Monday while unit 2 for
international departures will resume operations from Wednesday, the
General Manager Marketing and Business Development at the Kenya Airports
Authority(KAA) Lucy Mbugua said.
KAA admits it lost about 60 per cent in advertising revenues and concession businesses but cant quantify for now.
