Hiran region operations commander Mumin Mohamed Mohamud was shot and killed by another Somali soldier Wednesday (October 31st) in Beledweyne, UN-funded Radio Bar-Kulan reported.
The killing occurred when Mohamud tried to remove an illegal roadblock set up by the assailant at Liq-Liqato Bridge.
Local police commissioner Ali Dhuh Mahad confirmed the incident, saying that Beledweyne police were in pursuit of the killer, according to Somalia's RBC Radio.
