Sede, bro you can't resist being a tribal person.
You keep repeating let's support the ICU or get another
Afwayne! You are pathetic bro.
    sede @ 12/13/2006 6:35 PM EST
Malab, what exactly do you mean let us give to tfg a
chance to complete its mandate. They were in power for
two and a half years, that to me is more than a chance,
what have they done. Nothing sad to say. well anyways
I don't think they deserve a second chance.

What we need to do is kick the tfg out of somalia and
give full endowment to the ICU, which are the real people
of The SOMALIA. If they fell and procrastonate like the
ICU then lets give another dictator a chance and maybe
we will prosper in a manner similar to when
(*Salute*) Mohamed Siaad Barre (end *Salute*) was in charge.

 ACWW,
Brothers and Sister, I appreciate your feedback, respectively.
I welcome those furnished similar sentiments, equally,
I do respect those dissented my point of view.

No government or country is perfect by 100% merit. Any govt
will have own shortcomings. Not to mention ours. My gut
feeling is our problem lies with the absence of a viable government.
Ours was built under tribal pretenses which is the modus of operandi
most of us understand. All our faces are there from Abgaal
to Zaruur.

Recently, I had the opportunity of meeting one of the senior ministers
in the TFG and, yes, I asked the big Q which is in the mind of all Somalis.
What the hell they did/or were doing in the past
2 years. Cordially, he took me 2 years of ground work in the making.
He said, brother, we inherited a country where every thing
was destroyed. We had to re-invent the wheel, said the Minister.
All international obligations do require written agreements, documentation, by laws and
procedures. No agency will provide us any assistance without
having governmental structures. It took a long time to re-write
basic documents for international agreements.

Our differences are not in Islam but us. Islam teach us
Brotherhood, love, respect, one nation and one umma.

Let us give TFG a chance to do its mandate.

I Salute Ali Jede, Kurus and other positive thinking friends.

Abdi

I absolutely disagree with brother Ilyas for insulting Mr. Abdi. Ilyas, if you oppose Abdi's view, you have two choices: write a paper and tell us what you think about Somalia, or just read Abdi’s article and move on.
Now my point of view: I think Abdi made great points about situation in Somalia and what he thinks, which I agree soma of it. For example, “Finally, our solution lies the continuation of the collective tribal bargaining. It is the TFG which represents this process… TFG is not a perfect institution. But it is the only vehicle sufficient for us to ride. Less desirable elements; currently on board may not be allowed to re-board when the right and merit politics are deployed.”

    AbdiWahab @ 12/12/2006 11:46 AM EST
Adde is just a lackey who was used and abused by the UIC.
Who can forget the classic "eey & dameer" speech by a UIC leader.

Adde is now another has been. He had more of a chance when
he was supporting the Ministers Qanyare, Yalaxoow, and Aideed.

    rooble @ 12/12/2006 4:23 AM EST
The TFG could also do better then bringing Ethiopians to the somali soil. They could support the ICU against the warlords and thus use their political tactics and money to gain the people's heart instead of opposing every single move of the people and waving military forces.
    @ 12/11/2006 1:24 PM EST
Even if somebody does not believe in UIC, to say the current TFG is the solution
is just blind foolishness! They are not good at anything; not even being traitors and warlords!
Even Gaalo found out now that these guys are bunch of incapables!
    sede @ 12/11/2006 1:11 PM EST
I can not believe that people still advocate for the TFG
which is a sector of the Ethopian regime. You people sadden
me because I assumed that once you all see the distruction they
are doing to your country, you (far left people) would come to
realize the facts and the mirage would begin to blur, but
unfortunately that does not look like it is going to happen.
Therefore we have one viable option to clense you (ehtos) once and
for all. People I'll tell you what we need we need a DICTATOR. If we
had a dictator who would not stop at nothing (like Gen. Mohamed Siaad)
that would indeed be our gateway to success. Those who disagree and
advocate for Ethopian dominance leave to addis abba.
    kurus @ 12/11/2006 9:34 AM EST
Masha Allah!! Now here is one article that is the most interesting!
Well done A. Abdi, good research! Now I know some disagree, but they are with the wadaad (by tribe) and not by inteligence! Hope you guys don't feel offended, since the supporters of the TFG,in your eyes are Yusuf's nieces or nephews!!
I have faith in the TFG, I know that they are trying to do their best, even after soo many road blocks.  These road blocks are mainly caused by our ex president (Qasim) and his puppies!

I fully agree with A. Abdi. We used to walk the land
with our head high but frankly during the past 16 years
we have rediscovered what we really are: BIG ZERO. We
shouldn't even talk with real human beings; we should
go and live with the beasts. If the world wants to help
us regain our humanity, we should let them do and SHUT UP.
We are sub-humans...the worst people that ever walked
on the face of the earth..shame on you guys...when the
world mediates one group there will immediately spring up
another group...endless reconciliation..If the TFG and
the UIC now accept to make peace, there will immediately
be another group: the so-called "gaw iyo gash ma leh".
    kibogoyo @ 12/10/2006 11:00 PM EST
Good that you escaped “Baraka bullets” in the south of the Dark Continent.
I am convinced more than ever that Somalis should hire a foreign ruler who has no clan affiliation with any party in Somalia since they hardly make it on their own for the good of the ruled population.  I also think, you shouldn’t whine about media portraying your faith as violent before you look back into the words (jihad, kafir, infidels etc) misused by people who want to make wars holly (read comments in hiiraan too) to quench their thirst for taking sacred souls. You mentioned about people filling the mosques @ maghrib but I challenge you to visit the same mosques @ Fajir for that may make a stronger conclusion in your case. Anyway what good do prayers have if it does no good for you?

Sarah Ahmed:
You are wrong to compare situation in Somalia with Palastine: Check out what the late former president of your motherland said and he couldn’t be more correct; “Somalia is a land without people, while palastinians are people without land” (Mohamed Siyad Barre)

    cali @ 12/10/2006 10:09 PM EST
this is bunch of crap, and abdik can bend over for the ET
the rest of us somalis will stand tall together.
this is streight propaganda and no facts. the fact is
ICU is the only hope somalia has. i am from the north
and i'll never eccept yeey and geedi, but i'll go with ICU
against my own people. what is right is right,
seculerism=is is kufri,gaalnimo
somalia is an islamic state if you don't like it, leave it and go
ethiopia.
    qig504 @ 12/10/2006 10:06 PM EST
I gues the only argument among us from now on should be are you with Somalia or against Somalia. No need to argue with those of us who are blind folded by their little nonsense and farcical tribal reasoning. The entire sovereignty of Somalia is on the line and that is the over-riding factor of all else
    sarah ahmed @ 12/10/2006 9:26 PM EST
Interesting! What is (miraha gunta  ku jiro by the way?) Do you mean the Ethiopian’s? What sort of government can you call TFG? And further more have you seen the new African map that came out? Frankly, I don’t have much to say other than responding to the writer of this article and the only thing I am saying is, there is nothing called   TFG or legitimate central government regardless who elected them. The reality this is business and we all for sale Yusuf and Gedi are selling us, so it’s up to us what we do for our country and religion. I hope we are not going to be like Palestine. Let’s stand together and kick out Yusuf and Gedi so as their so-called Government and let’s not change this issue into (Qabiil).

    wiliwiliq @ 12/10/2006 7:40 PM EST
I agree with the writer for only one point and one point only on his article: Mr Gabo’s good intentions were not rewarded by the iuc and he was sidelined. I guess just because he was appointed by Gedi. The writer, however fail to substantiate the rest of his claims against IUC. If anyone out there has evidence that IUC was involve the assassination of late Yahye and other intellectuals, please provide evidence or don’t shout just hear say words that we have head over and over again. Any other evidence or wrong doing found in the IUC administration other than that they closed down cinemas or drag houses are highly sought after. TFG has no one else to blame what ever happen to them for they done nothing in Somalia than bringing the most disliked enemy of Somalia into their territory. Practically the defeated Mog warlords has cooperated with the government at all times at they were part of the tfg. Evidence is the tfg were welcomed in Baidoa after their defeat and provided arms and money. Today most of these former warlords are either fighting with the tfg at the frontline or sitting in their planning headquarters of Baidoa.
    caraweelo @ 12/10/2006 3:18 PM EST
How true, Abdirahman had summarized all in saying (miro gunti kuugu jira kuwo geed saaran looma tuuro). TFG is the only legitimate Gov't that we have and its representative of all Somalis, where as UIC is one group, who wants to rule the whole Somalia, they are nothing else than destroyers and denials of peace.

    shati-aqonyahan @ 12/10/2006 1:59 PM EST
How many times have you used the word "sad".
Every day a new theory is floated to divert,
the sacrifices and toil of the blessed
islamic courts to undeserved Ethiopian pets.

But these article is the silliest of all.
    abdik @ 12/10/2006 1:01 PM EST
For crying out loud people not everyone that disagrees with you guys is the nephew of Abdullahi Yousuf nor an Ethopian stooge. Plus, I really don't get it what people get out of by questioning the intellegence of anyone that sees things a bit different?
    ilyas365 @ 12/10/2006 12:54 PM EST
I'm totally saddened by Mr. Abdi's lack of vision and wisdom in his article. He is extremely one sided; thus, not giving the proper credit to whom it may due to. However, such a shortsightedness is driving us (somalis) into destruction and loss of our beloved country. In essence, Mr. Abdi is either loyal stooge for Abdilahi yusuf and the invading Ethiopian troops or simply lacks common sense!!
    abdik @ 12/10/2006 12:48 PM EST
My old dear friend Abdriahman Abdi still got it. Its nice to read one of your articles again brother. I too believe the TFG should be given the chance to show us what they can do for the country. And even better, I would rather have the two opposing sides work together as a team to find a lasting solution to this endless choas in our homeland.

If you are reading this Abrdirahman this your friend Ali Younis (Jede). I have been here in this cold darn place call Minnesota for a while now.
