There is no practical or legal or moral reasosn fopr them to do so. There is a political gamesmanship at play. It was only time before the thin-skinned(all Somalis are thin skinned) Somaliland politicos responded. Mildly I will say by Somali standards. I mean afterall what hapepned lasted only few hours; hundreds of thiousands of somali refugees do live peracefully in Somaliland and that poverty-ridden, malnourished little territory contributed 1 Million Dollars it coudl ill-aford to the famine victism of Somalia. The only wealthy 'Somali' who contributed personally was a Somalilander. Just thought to things into persepective Dr Fadumo. The culpable party here is those who are in a decision making position today, who mistakenly felt the need for political football over drowning people, and as such made catastrophic error. I would however caution anyone to lump all as if it was a collective decision, it wasn't, and that's why they called Siilanyo privately (reprimanded him) to go personally there and welcome people. The as usual he didn't know what to do ( a FUMBLER), he could have fired instantly Inna Waran-cadde, or the most difficult of all Cali Xoor-Xoor, who it appears can't never be replaced from this port regardless of who becomes president, is he the only one who can run the port??? Furthermore Dr Fatima, he didn't acknowledge any mistake while he was there, If he did it would have restored some lost dignity. The Message from the republic of Somaliland was that; the Somali people should be treated by the UNHCR and other organizations as a refugees and not IDPS! The reason way, they come from another country (Somalia). On the other side, the republic of Somaliland cant afford to take the Somalis from Somalia in unless they get help and support from UNHC, because the Somaliland republice dont have the capacity to do that. The whole story was, but the WALWAYNS dont see the big PICTURE! Thay dont have the intelect to read between the lines! You should appologize to the nobel people of Somaliland and their great governmentand be greatfull for them what do to your people always.
