It was a gargantuan political mistake on his part. at that time there was no Somalia recognised by the US and UN and the EU(so-caleld International community). They were in a realtively weak position and silanyo utterly failed to exploit it. Now Somalia govt is recognised by those who matter. Money is pouring into theor coffers. Tens of thousansd of militai are being trained and armed for them. Al-Shabab is on the run. they are no mood to negotaiate. Silanyo does not have a single card in hsi hands. No wonder waalweyns treacherous asc ever, are moving the goalposts and lifting tow fingesr at Hargeisa. Too late now. But still right policy. The only thing which has been going for this traitor outfit has been the stupidity run a muck in Mogadishu. In fact, the Somali Parliament should pass a law declaring Siilaanyo and other E-dori top leaders there as treasonous, only punishable by death. It is time the Federal Government put out the word that any ship or plane which enters into an inch of Somalia territory, land and sea, to have a permission from Mogadishu--without it, they will be dealt with in accordance to the International Law rules. Any agreement, which Somaliland or any other region of Somalia entered into with foreign country should be null and void. If Ethiopia has an interest in the Somali Port of Barbera, Ethiopia must negotiate only with Somali Federal Government. Somalia is sovereign country and it has the right to sort out its issues by itself and it will never negotiate its territorial integrity with foreigners. Somaliland wants to break away it's up to them to prove their case to IC or negotiate a settlement with SFG. Including more countries in these talks is just an attempt to slow down and complicate the negotiations. Somalia is a united republic. SNM was founded by Mengistu. The reason why they are so close to Ethiopia is because they are in completely dependant on it. It does not make sense to Somalis,neighbors of Somalia, and the Int'l community this to be jammed into their throats and pressured. It is obvious Somalia is a failed state, and its current 'leaders' are incompetent, in the other hand, it is as obvious that Somaliland is one-clan project and it just won't work. Peace and developement for the inhabitants of those regions is more significant than whether Somalia remains as one or dissected into 10 different states. Let there be an Int'l led refrrendum in the North, without the involvement of Somaliland or Puntland or Mugadishu-land. That is one solution. The other solution is these corrupt people from both sides must sit-down together and figure a way out , in order to be bring peace and long lasting stability to the horn. Somalia said no, when they both met in Turkey, they ended the talks. It's quite obvious SNM has deliberately ruined the talks with the aim of having Ethiopia present at the negotiations. They are literally demon-possesed traitors. Hargeisa is also looking to be acknowledged by the international community as a separate country in these talks. SFG should not re-engage any negotiations. It should recognise Khaatumo & Awdal states. If SNM can recognise itself as a country, SFG has a right to recognise Khaatumo & Awdal. Enough negotiating with SNM, it's pointless.
