 FiqiJ,
I hope your enthusiasm pays off and I am proved wrong sooner than later.
Clan-based federalism is a "kill or cure" treatment, where the shaman or medicine man who has to administer the bitter bill down your throat is not that knowledgeable and up to the task.
No enclave can go alone with federalism unless the inefficient dwellers of the Mansion on the Hill secure at least a portion of the capital from the marauding "afghans" and unmask the "Fifth Column" within their governing apparatus.

 Secular,

Don't loose hope, oday! I refuse to believe that all the multi-pronged disasters which Somalis have experienced were all for nothing. No, I think some good can come from it. One reason which gives me hope is this federalism. This system may seem very messy at the moment, but for Somalis to transition from clan to a true nation, the clans themselves must be made responsible for their local affairs.

 FiqiJ,
My crystal ball sees nothing encouraging in this near future.

 secular,Fiqijin

Greetings from an old timer and i agree with you some of the points you two raised in your comments.

My take on this on going tragedy? no one is safe while these murderers are out there k*lling and maiming innocent folks indiscriminately.

What is the solution?

Well-done with your comments. You have done really well and keep up the good work. Faqash needs someone like you to shed some crocodile tears on difficult matters. What an idiot, what is he talking about.

 Faqashism vs Wahabism

The two dangerous ideologies in Somalia.

They export both brands of disaster to foreign countries.

 Secular,

So do you suppose all the disasters which fell on us, which is our own doing, are God's way of teaching a stubborn people the hard way, because we have not been smart enough to avoid all these disasters peacefully and productively?

 FiqiJ,
What we see today is nothing more than the natural outcome of our shortsightedness and foolishness, be it at the leadership level or at the foot-soldier level.
We, those of a certain age, didn't elect Siyad Barre nor endorse his henchmen, some of which are trying, in vain, to erase their collaborationist past.
Talking about the "leaders" that were imposed on the country after the fall of Siyad (read,"the all clan-inclusive repressive regime) is pointless since they were "accidental" or "nominal" at best.
The final act, before the curtain call, is represented by the masked lunatics whose only aim is to kill and destroy all vestiges of civilization in the country (and beyond).
We are also to shoulder the blame for Shabab's existence since we allowed the wahhabization of the country, when other means of unarmed political opposition to dictatorship wasn't feasible except the "religion card", in reaction of Siyad attempt to modify some verses of the Koran!

 Secular,

The Somali people, I think, had suffered a sever, collective mental disease. Here are supposedly Wadaado boasting about killing their fellow Somali and Muslim people. To what end? Before them,  it was crazed Turf warlords--a glorified gangs . And then, before that, were pure idiots with their various clan Jabha ( SSDF, SNM, USC, etc.) all of them were to bring down Mohammed Siyad, with zero inkling on how to govern after they ousted the long time dictator. Them, I divide them in 2 camp. One camp of SNM, whose leaders had all along in mind of dividing Somalia. They too did not understand how international law works. These dummies wanted to divide an existing country for no discernible one single reason. For instance, Siyad Barre bombing the hell out of Hargeisa had to do with him being the cold war era relic of a dictator. It had nothing to do with South vs. North. Many other communities in the south and east also were bombed or militarily dealt with by the dictator. So, they cannot blame the south for Siyad's rule. Neither south, east, central nor the north ever elected this man. The so-called President of the so-called Somaliland himself was a devout singer of the "Aabe Siyad, aabihi garashada" song. Today, he is there in Hargeisa feigning amnesia about "durbaan garaacii iyo sacabkii uu u timi jiray Aabe Siyad." He presides over a scheme to destroy Somalia. Then there were the southern dummies, especially General M.F Aideed and Abdullahi Yussuf. I don't think Aideed ever believed he would succeed in getting rid of Siyad. The proof was his ill-preparedness on what to do when it happen. This brainless, sorry excuse for a human being had no idea about ruling, because he was not fit to rule a " chicken coop," let alone a country! Abdullahi Yussuf, the guy who started it all, when his coup failed in 1978, also was not fit to rule. He was driven by one motto only " I am Majeerteen, therefore ruling is my birth right." When he finally had the chance, he had no idea on how to drive this ruling car. He would guide Ethiopia to, of all places, Mogadishu. Yaasin akhriskiisa ha labadsado!

Allah only takes life. People die when their time is up. It unfortunate for those who commit the killing because they have become the reason for act of dying of the MP. The MP would have died anyway because his time was up what a better way to die. May Allah rest his soul in peace and for the killer he is for sure burn in hell how unfortunate for him.
